Gift cards are also good. Amazon, Target, Barnes and Nobles, are all great choices. I would say Best Buy is not as their prices are over inflated.
Just the other day, Taschi and I were saying that we could use a rice cooker/steamer in the house. Something that would cook brown rice well. I'm not sure what would be a good brand...
